Designed for the guest. Built for the town.
Commercial interior design for hospitality and Main Street businesses across Pennsylvania and Maryland — from first concept through opening night.
What we do
MIKO Interior Design is a full-service commercial interior design studio based in York, PA. We partner with restaurants, boutique hotels, and the independent businesses reshaping their downtowns — handling concept development, space planning, finish selection, custom millwork, construction documents, furniture sourcing, and project management. We work with clients across York, Lancaster, Harrisburg, and Baltimore — bringing big-city hospitality design experience to the towns that deserve it most.
From the first walkthrough to opening night, we're the team that makes sure every detail lands — so owners can stay focused on running the business they're building.
“Creating thoughtful interiors from concept to opening night.“
-Rae Lilley, FOUNDER + INTERIOR DESIGNER
Fifteen years of big-city hospitality experience, brought home.
Before founding MIKO, Rae spent over a decade designing for firms whose clients included Kimpton, Marriott, JDV by Hyatt, and Brookfield Properties — on projects in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Washington D.C. That work has been published in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and Southern Living.
MIKO brings that caliber of design thinking to the places that mean the most to us — the historic downtowns and small towns across York, Lancaster, and Baltimore.

The Studio
MIKO started in a light-filled, historic corner building in downtown York, sharing space with our friend Kendyll Hillegas, a commercial illustrator. Today we work out of New York Wireworks, a few blocks away — another York building getting its second chapter.
